Hi folks!

Whilst we get our heads around all this new technology, thought we'd post a mix from the archives as a test run. This is Part One from our Scaramanga series which was created to promote an event that we do. It gives an insight into the eclectic minds of The DBs!

The Scaramanga Soundsystem is manned by the Disko Nick and Crafty C, and is committed to bringing you the finest in uplifting party beats... think bouncy ska, or afro-breaks, or latin-house with plenty of bootlegged mash-ups thrown in. It's music for good times. Disko Nick has been djing for 10 years, and was resident at The Blue Bottle (Crystal Palace) for 3 years, but is also a resident of the Southern Solar Soundsystem from the Brighton area. His style spans all genres and countless decades – from funk to disco to house, and everything in between – he firmly believes "that a good tune, is a good tune" no matter what genre it falls into... just good music. His grooves will take you places your feet had forgotten about! Crafty C was a late starter, and after spending much of his youth in guitar-based bands, and being dissatisfied with tunes he was hearing when going out, finally got some decks. His sound is firmly focused on the floor but is a varied "party-style", with funk and jazz-powered breakbeat, all types of house (including afro, latin, soulful, electro) and a steady supply of bootlegs all making the grade. He aims to keep the FUN in funky, but likes to throw a curveball in every now and again... Our show aims to shine the spotlight on good music everywhere.
